Jenny has lead a very posh life. Her mother was born into money and owns several apartment complexes, while her father is a prominent lawyer. While she has had numerous friends over the years, she has never felt like she could relax. Maybe that is because she is an only child or maybe it is because she has become a work-a-holic to cover the pain of dealing with her parent's divorce.
After breaking free of the binds her parents placed on her when she became an adult, Jenny fled to Chicago. Unfortunately, her mother's antics have brought her back home to claim her inheritance or lose it. Out of the blue, after giving up dating, Jenny has a chance encounter with a boy from the other side of town who returned home to handle a family loss. Chris has given Jenny something in a matter of three weeks that no one has been able to do before.
When those three weeks end and life resumes, will Jenny be able to hold onto the feelings of happiness that she had? Will moving across the country with her father give her the ability to start a new life, especially after hearing that her 3 week fling has found someone new and is looking at getting engaged? What will happen when Chris shows up on her doorstep, unemployed and homeless a few years later? Will Jenny be in a place to take him in ... or will she have already moved on with the curveballs life has thrown at her?
